City Gas Distribution project is a public utility project by the Government of India
The Madhya Pradesh government is implementing City gas distribution policy 2025 to
revolutionalize the energy sector. Under this policy the distribution network of piped
natural gas (PNG) to households and compressed natural gas (CNG) to vehicles through cng
stations will be expanded in the state making clean and affordable fuel available to
every household . To achieve this a policy framework has been created especially for
city gas distribution entities and they have been provided facility to obtain
standardized and time bound permissions / approvals through necessary single window
system.
Cgd entities will enter into an agreement with the department of technical education and
skill development to start employment oriented courses for cgd operations and after
completion of such courses ,the trained people will be employed by the company / cgd
entity . The land will be allocated for the CNG stations and other establishments as per
the prescribed procedure of Madhya Pradesh nazul Bhumi nivartan nirdesh 2020 for which
the lease will be executed to the investor for 30 years as per the directions of the
revenue department.
CGD - Single Window System
Through a single window mechanism the District Magistrate to issue various types of permissions at the district level. The CGD entity will submit an application to the district Magistrate for obtaining ROU facility / permission on a single window system. The applicant entity shall obtain the necessary no-objection certificate (NOC) from the departments/undertakings of the Central Government.
